Rajeev Nagar in Patna is a residential colony besides Patliputra Industrial Area. It shares it boundary with IndraPuri, Ashiana Nagar, Jay Prakash Nagar and Digha Ashiana Road. It is about 6 kms from Railway Station and 4kms from airport.

The interesting part about this colony is its division into road numbers 1 to 24. Some of them are roads and others qualify for lanes only. The road number one is the road where all retail shops are spread. The colonies lack apartments and therefore is marked by newly constructed houses. The roads are there but in poor conditions. The colony lacks open spaces such as Parks and play ground. On the railway line touching IndraPuri, it hosts a subzi mundi every evening. It a source of traffic snarls in the evening. Rajeev Nagar lacks commercial offices till now.

Rajeev nagar is strategically located with access to Ashiana on West and Digha in East. Secondly it is adjacent to Patliputra. Currently IIT Patna is located in this locality. Later on the same building would be transformed into Software Technology Park.

Rajeev Nagar currently is facing some sort of land dispute too. The matter is in court. The case is being fought by residents’ vs. state government. The court case too is dampening development in this locality.
